I’ve been taking dance photos for hundreds of dancers around the country, delivered over 400,000images a year, which is more than any other photography genres I’ve photographed, and I still love it as much as I did when I first started with ShowStopper. There are so many things I love about dance photography, but here are a few of the reasons why I keep coming back to it:

First of all, it’s a challenge. Capturing the beauty of dance in a single photo is no easy feat. It requires a good sense of timing, an eye for movement, and a passion for capturing the art form in all its forms. I love the challenge of trying to capture the perfect moment, and I’m always learning new ways to improve my skills.

Secondly, it’s creative. There are so many different ways to approach dance photography. You can focus on the technical aspects, such as capturing the dancer’s form and movement. Or, you can take a more artistic approach, using lighting, composition, and other elements to create a more abstract or emotional image. I love the freedom to be creative and to experiment with different techniques.

What’s more, it’s inspiring. Watching dancers move is incredibly inspiring to me. There’s something about the way they use their bodies to express themselves that is truly awe-inspiring. I love being able to capture that beauty and share it with others.

Last but not least, it’s a way to connect with people. I’ve met so many amazing people through dance photography. Dancers, photographers, and other creatives from all over the world. It’s a great way to connect with people who share my passion for dance and photography.

I short, I’m so grateful that I get to spend my time doing something that I love. Dance photography is one of them. It’s a challenging, creative, and inspiring way to connect with people. I can’t wait to see what the future holds for me in this amazing field.
